Post 8: Summer plans

Imagen
In this post, I’m gonna talk about summer plans. The truth is that I have not thought about what I will do during my summer vacation, also I’m not a person who makes long-term plans. What I do know is that I want to work on something during December at least, maybe in a movie theater or as a waitress at events (like graduation or marriage parties). Another thing that I would love to do during the vacations is to go out with my friends, whom I see a few during the rest of the year, read the stack of books that is waiting for me and watch the series and movies that I have pending. In addition, something I really enjoy during the summer is to eat seasonal fruits, like watermelon, melon, grapes, strawberries, peaches, apricots and cherries; I love them! Now, about the subject of the holidays themselves I don’t know what to say. I think I would like to go to the beach with my friends and go to the south (ninth and tenth region) with my family, because I love the southern lakes, but...

Post 7: Postgraduate studies

Imagen
In this post, I’m gonna talk about postgraduate studies. The true is that I would like to do a postgraduate study but I don’t know about what nor which university. I just know that I would like to learn some topics more specific about archaeology and its methods, that is because I would like to work in the South Zone of Chile and undergraduate studies of the career of anthropology at this university doesn´t teach much about that area. That is the reason I would not like to study a postgraduate course in this university; in this course it teaches more than the same thing that we learn in undergraduate studies. I just know that I would like to study something that I like and be useful for my professional future, maybe in some university in England. If I had the opportunity of study a postgraduate course in England, I would like to do it in a part-time, in this way I could travel a lot and get to know many places of that country or its neighbor countries. In addition, the fact of st...

Post 6: Environmental care

Imagen
In this post, I’m gonna talk about the importance of taking care of the environment. To cooperate in the care of the planet, one of the most important step that can be carried out is the acquisition of the “three R”, that is reduce, re-use and recycle. The principle of three R refers to the development of responsible consumer habits: reduce the consumption of assets and energy, reuse an object to give it a second life (that is, to reuse something that may still be useful in either its original function or in a new function) and recycle, that is subjecting already used materials to a transformation process so that they can be reused. Personally, I always seek to comply with these three principles, either using only the exact and necessary energy, reducing water consumption, using public transportation, recycling, etc. One of the things that I give more importance is the recycling; I’m looking to recycle the largest amount of things that the “green point” of Homecenter allows me...

Post 5: My future job

Imagen
In this post I’m gonna talk about my career and my future job. First of all, I have to mention that I entered to the University of Chile initially to study the academic program of Bachillerato. Through this program I entered to study my current career, anthropology. I choose this career because since I was a child I wanted to study archaeology; I must say that I’m sure of my choice. The career of anthropology has three specialty mentions: social anthropology, physical anthropology and archaeology. Now I’m in the third year of the career, at the mention of archaeology.   In a future, I would like to study some magister or doctorate related with archaeology in another country, but I still have not clear where. For now, these are just ideas. What I have very clear in my mind is that I want to develop professionally that I’m studying, that is in the archaeological field. This field involves an outdoor job, which is ideal for me, because I don’t like the idea of being locked...
